Italian Spots
As they mention on their website, Fiorella offers a pasta-centric menu with a selection of antipasti, pasta, and desserts. Their menu frequently changes, but you will find the latest updates on their website. Fiorella is located at 817 Christian St. and you can make reservations on Open Table.
It’s rare to find a restaurant that doesn’t have a single bad dish. Giorgio on Pine offers a simple menu with dishes made from fresh ingredients and a swirl of flavors. They are located on 1328 Pine St., and you can make reservations by calling the restaurant at 215-545-6265.
I have to be honest, I visited Gran Caffe L’Aquila a handful of times for their AMAZING gelato. But when I finally made it in there for dinner, I was blown away by their flavorful dishes. They are located at 1716 Chestnut St., and reservations can be made on Open Table.
Porcini is located at 2048 Sansom St. Step into a hometown in Italy with these authentic dishes. You can make a reservation on Open Table and enjoy delicious delicacies made fresh by the chef every night.
I love to come here for a cute date night, and I almost always get the chicken parmesan. Located at 2201 Spruce St., Trattoria Carina serves fun dinner (and brunch) dishes. Reservations can be made on Open Table.
Fun Vibes
This is a chill Jazz Bar located at 258 S 15th St. Here, you can enjoy jazz music and other live performances while chowing down on some of the best sandwiches. Before you leave, enjoy a game of Billiards, Ping Pong, and Shuffleboard.
This is definitely a pricier dinner option. Mona is Mediterranean Fusion restaurant located at 1308 Chestnut St. The mezze, the meat, the sauces-all worth the money. Reservations can be made on Open Table.
Eat your sushi in style. Morimoto is located at 723 Chestnut St., and serves the most amazing Japanese entrees. They have a standard dinner menu or you can chose from their extensive sushi menu. Reservations can be made on Open Table.
Every new place has its kinks which some people say Vita is still working out. Located at 261 S 17th St., Vita appears to be your average gelato shop. However, behind a red door lies what can only be described as a pasta speak easy which you can gain access to through a cryptic text. Reservations can be made on Resy.
My Favorites
This is a classic for me, I just love the vibes and the ambiance. When it’s just my husband and I, we love to sit on the swings. Located at 1801 Chestnut St., Continental has great starters and shareable plates. Portions aren’t too big so it’s a great place to share different dishes. Reservations can be made on Open Table.
Another vibey restaurant serving up delicious mocktails, apps, and Mexican classics. El Vez is located at 121 S. 13 St., and you can make reservations on Open Table. Don’t forget the guac!
Talk about classics! I think people love Parc for the food, but also for its location and view of Rittenhouse Square. It’s definitely a place to visit when the weather is nice and you are able to take advantage of the outdoor seating. Parc is located at 227 S. 18th St., and reservations can be made on Open Table.
Head to Old City and step into the Italian Coast at 212 Walnut St. I love this restaurant for the beautiful artwork and bright colored decor. The food is amazing and it is one of my go-to’s in the summer before heading to Spruce Street Harbor Park. Reservations can be made on Open Table.
THE BEST FOR LAST. Maybe i’m bias but this is one of my favorite restaurants in Philly. Everything is 100/10. You can go for brunch, lunch, or dinner. On Friday and Saturday their menu is fixed for $78/person. You will need to make reservations well in advance through Resy. They are located at 1528 Frankford Ave.
